A new season of VH1’s hit series Single Ladies is set to debut this summer, although without creator/executive producer/showrunner Stacy A. Littlejohn, who left the show to pursue other projects late last year.

The Queen Latifah-produced series was renewed for a third season, after averaging a healthy 3.2 million total viewers per episode, up 10% from season 1, which means even more of you watched it than during the first season. 

And for season 3, add new cast members in Letoya Luckett, Damien Wayans and Lesley-Ann Brandt. 

Luckett will play Felicia Price, described in the press release as the icy and aloof founder and Senior Partner of Price Management, one of the most influential music management companies in the world. 

Wayans will play David Berenger, April’s (Charity Shea’s) main foil at Price Management – a masterful sycophant, and a slick manager on the Atlanta music scene. 

And finally, Brandt, will plays Naomi Cox, described as a demure, sexy, scheming gold-digger who is a constant thorn in Keisha’s (LisaRaye McCoy’s) side.

“Our viewers’ love affair with ‘Single Ladies’ got even bigger [in season 2], growing significantly from its successful first season and dominating its timeslot on basic cable,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Production, VH1. “We’re extremely happy that we’ll be able to give the audience another great season of the series and its honest, current take on love, dating and female friendship.“

Season 2 starred LisaRaye McCoy (Keisha), Denise Vasi (Raquel) and Charity Shea (April) as three best friends navigating the dating world in Atlanta. The season saw the exit of Stacey Dash, the addition of Cassandra Freeman, and the aforementioned Denise Vasi as newbies to the show’s cast.

Season 3 is set to premiere in mid-2013.
