As if the hype surrounding Us wasn’t high enough, IGN has released an extended clip from the film, giving us a look at how lovably corny Gabe (Winston Duke) is in the face of grave danger.

In case you’re wondering, the clip, titled “We Can Get Crazy,” thankfully doesn’t spoil anything. But we do see how Gabe tries to protect his family from the appearance of mysterious doppelgangers. He asks for a bat, as if that will scare off freaky visitors, and tries to put on his best scary Black man voice. But, of course, none of this works because the Tethered aren’t about to be intimidated, especially not by a man with a bat.

So far, Jordan Peele’s latest horror entry has a 100 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes thanks to some stellar SXSW buzz. As S&A’s Trey Mangum wrote in his spoiler-free review, “Peele completely obliterates the concept of a sophomore slump, debuting what will go down as the first true, soon-to-be-iconic horror classic that we’ve seen in many, many years…While Get Out mostly provided the shocks that popped up here and there, Us is a full-on barrage that will have you unnerved the entire time, but unable to look away.”

Us also stars Lupita Nyong’o, Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Anna Diop and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The film will make its way to theaters nationwide March 22.
