The trailer for Jaden Smith and Cara Delevingne's romantic drama, Life in a Year, has been released. The trailer, featured below, showcases Smith and Delevingne trying to live tons of life's milestones in one year before personal tragedy strikes.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Smith stars as Daryn (Smith), a young man who lives life by the book and according to his father's meticulous plans. He meets Isabelle (Delevingne), an entrancing young woman who has a terrible burden--she's ill and is only expected to live for one more year. In a conversation with each other for the outlet, Delevingne said the film teaches you about love and what real love means and that love can be painful and it can be devastating but it's also the thing we need the most and that will save the world."
Smith also said that it's the first time he's watched himself on screen and cried.
"I remember crying in the beginning when I wasn't supposed to be crying," he said. "I cried at multiple different times in the movie. And I usually don't get that type of effect from a movie that I'm in...it just really got to me."
Watch the full trailer below. Life in a Year also stars Nia Long and Cuba Gooding Jr. and is directed by Mitja Okorn. The film's trailer doesn't mention a release date, but the film is expected to be released Nov. 27.
