“Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland” – LIFETIME

Lifetime network’s new film based on the last few years of Michael Jackson’s life, titled “Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland,” premiered on the network last night, May 29, drawing 2 million total viewers in Live+SD viewing.

A story told through the eyes of his bodyguards, Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard, the telepic stars Navi, considered the world’s most prominent Michael Jackson impersonator. Meanwhile, Chad L. Coleman plays bodyguard Bill Whitefield and Sam Adegoke is Javon Beard.

The project is based on the book “Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days,” written by Motown head Berry Gordy.

Elizabeth Hunter wrote the script, and Dianne Houston is directing the film.

Suzanne de Passe is executive producer.
