John Wick director Chad Stahelski has signed on to direct Rainbow Six, the sequel to Michael B. Jordan’s 2021 action thriller Without Remorse.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news.

Jordan stars and co-produces alongside Elizabeth Raposo under his Outlier Society banner.

In addition to Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec through The Saw Mill, producers also include Akiva Goldsman and Greg Lessans through Weed Road Pictures. Stahelski will executive produce alongside Jason Spitz and Alex Young.

John Clark, one of Tom Claney’s most well-known characters, will be played by Jordan again, reprising his role from the first film. Aside from being a popular novel, Rainbow Six is also a popular video game franchise.

Without Remorse was produced with the intention to be a franchise. It was set for release via Paramount before they offloaded it to Amazon. Rainbow Six is said to be intended for a theatrical release.

No additional casting news or plot details have been made available at this time.

Stahelski is the director of John Wick and its subsequent sequels and has multiple other projects in the pipeline, including the upcoming John Wick 4 which comes to theaters March 24, and a remake of The Highlander.

Jordan’s directorial debut, Creed 3, hits theaters on March 3.
