Loretta Devine’s Upcoming Film Is Described As ‘Mean Girls’ Meets ‘Golden Girls’

Loretta Devine is always working! The iconic actress is starring alongside Ellen Burstyn in the romantic comedy Never Too Late. The film is currently being shopped at American Film Market, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Currently in post-production, the film also stars James Caan, Elizabeth Mitchell, Christopher Lloyd and French Stewart.

Never Too Late is described as “Mean Girls meets Golden Girls” and is directed by Michael Lembeck from a screenplay by Donald Martin based on a story by Harrison Powell. Rick Jackson and Claudine Marotte executive produce, with Fred Bernstein, Dominique Telson and Powell as producers.

The movie sees Burstyn portray a widow who moves into the Pine Grove Senior Community and discovers it’s eerily reminiscent of high school with cliques and suitors abound. Caan will portray Burstyn’s love interest.
