Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has released its first poster and the cast list, which includes Jordan Fisher (Liv and Maddie), Marcus Scribner (black-ish), Krystal Joy Brown (Motown: The Musical), Lorraine Toussaint (Into the Badlands, Orange is the New Black) and Keston John (The Good Place).

Along with Scribner, Fisher, Brown, John and Toussaint, the cast stars Aimee Carrero (Elena of AvalorYoung and Hungry) as She-Ra herself. Other featured cast members include Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy), AJ Michalka (The GoldbergsSteven Universe), Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad), Reshma Shetty (Blindspot), Christine Woods (Hello Ladies), Vella Lovell (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Genesis Rodriguez (Time After Time), Lauren Ash (Superstoreand Merit Leighton (Alexa & Katie).

Even though we don’t see She-Ra’s face in the poster, which was revealed by Entertainment Weekly, it gives a slight nod to late ’70s and early ’80s anime. She-Ra’s outfit has also been updated to focus less on glam and more on athleticism. For instance, She-Ra’s heeled boots are replaced with flat, more practical ones, fit for jumping around and kicking butt. With She-Ra’s heroic stance complete with her sword raised in the air, the poster gives vibes that are a cross between the early days of The Legend of Zelda and the original She-Ra series.

The original She-Ra series focused on Princess Adora, He-Man’s twin sister who was abducted and raised by the villain Hordak (voiced by John). After learning of her past, she acquires the Sword of Protection to fight on the side of good.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will air on Netflix later this year.
