After an alleged physical altercation involving Martell Holt and members of the Scott family over Martell and Melody Shari’s children, many are wondering if #TeamHolt is a thing again. The fight, much of which was captured in Instagram lives from the Love & Marriage: Huntsville cast, stemmed from Latisha Scott’s mother Wanda calling into question the paternity of Melody and Martell’s youngest child.
Now that things have calmed down, many wonder if the Holts are back together, but Melody says no.
“I love y’all so much and yes this is my JAM! Love is so beautiful…a lot of y’all are asking, so, NO, my ex and I are NOT back together, dating NADA, okay? I’m good over here,” she commented on a post after users continued asking about the status of her and Martell’s relationship– as reported by Urban Belle Mag.
After seeing more reactions from fans congratulating the two on seemingly being in a better position with co-parenting, Melody took to Instagram in a completely separate post to address it further.
The “Tale Tell Signs” singer can’t believe that some are encouraging her to go backward.
“I really think my face says it all, however, check out the article. It’s very interesting to me how soo many people encourage women to stay in emotionally draining and abusive situations,” she captioned a blog post regarding the chatter about her and Martell reconciling. “Then, if/when they leave, they’re actually encouraged to return. Let me be super clear, YEARS of behavior doesn’t change overnight, in a few months etc. It takes extensive therapy and YEARS of self-work. Let’s normalize choosing self, peace, higher vibrations, and better energy. Love y’all.”
