Don’t expect any new Marvel tales about Luke Cage anytime soon…at least if he’s portrayed by Mike Colter. There have been rumors that Marvel’s street level-superheroes may return soon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Both Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter have been rumored to potentially reprise their roles, but there’s not much word on Colter coming back as Luke Cage.

In an interview with Coming Soon.net, Colter revealed he has not heard from Marvel Studios about coming back for more stories in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Colter, who sat down with ComingSoon.net to discuss his latest film Fatale, says he hasn’t thought about a Marvel return given his busy schedule, but wouldn’t be opposed to the possibility if approached.

“I got to say, I rarely think about it in the sense of what could be or will be, I know fans are eager to see something with the character,” Colter explained. “I know I established him and it was an honor to do that, but I don’t know what the future holds, I’m just in my mode of doing Evil right now and a few films on hiatus. If something happens, I’d love to have a conversation with them, but for now I’m not holding my breath, I’m happy either way, it was a good run.”

Colter portrayed Harlem’s friendly neighborhood bulletproof hero  on the titular Netlfix drama from 2016 t0 2018, before it was canceled due to Marvel revamping their television operations.
