In honor of Black History Month, Lyft is offering free rides to places that champion Black history and culture.

The special offer gives riders one free ride (up to a $10 value) to Black history museums, memorials, cultural sites and Black-owned businesses in various cities. Some of the cities covered by the promotion include Atlanta, Baltimore, New Orleans, New York, Oakland and Washington D.C. Full details can be found on the Lyft blog.

“Much has been done, much remains to be done, and Lyft is honored to step up today to do our part to continue building inclusive and more connected communities while helping provide greater opportunity for the leaders of tomorrow,” the company wrote in the post announcing the offer.

The National Museum of African-American History and Culture (NMAAHC) is one of the locations covered by the free rides and is having a Black History Month promotion of its own. Throughout February, the NMAAHC is allowing visitors in on a first-come, first served basis. Those who want to visit usually have to obtain a pass ahead of time. For those in the D.C. area wanting to take advantage of this, the capital's Lyft code is BHMDCA19.
