‘Mandela; Long Walk To Freedom' To Screen At Chicago Int'l Film Fest Next Month (But Hurry, Again...)

Continuing with my series of films that will, no doubt, be of interest to everyone, but especially to S & A readers, Justin Chadwick’s Mandela; Long Walk To

Freedom will be shown at this year’s

49th annual Chicago International Film Festival.

Toplined by Idris

Elba and Naomie Harris, the film has gotten, so far, relatively mixed reviews; but all of them agree that Elba

gives a towering performance as Mandela.

The film is scheduled to be released nationally in late November in the U.S., early January 2014 in the U.K., and in Europe from mid-December

through February 2014, but readers

in the Chicago area can see it at CIFF on Saturday

October 12th at 5:45PM.

And, as I said with the CIFF screening of 12 Years A Slave, Mandela is sure to be

a hot ticket screening, so get your tickets ASAP when they’re available.

Go HERE to find out more information on tickets, and over

the next few days, I’ll be reporting on more films screening at this year’s CIFF, which runs from Oct.10-24.
