Black-ish actor Marcus Scribner and Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce have booked new projects.

Scribner will star in the college thriller film, Confessional. Other cast members include Paris  Berelc and Vanessa Marano. Confessional takes place after two mysterious deaths at a college on the same night with seven students receiving invitations to a confession booth hidden on the campus. Their confessions slowly unveil the truth behind not just the deaths, but the booth as well. The mystery is entirely confined to the video confessional booth. This will arguably be his first major role outside of black-ish.

Boyce has been casting the ABC comedy pilot, Steps.  The series based on the Swedish format Bonus Family. It revolves around four adults in three houses raising three kids after two divorces — together. Boyce will play Becker, “a sincere and full-of-love young man with no filter, which can make for some uncomfortable moments.” Boyce is most known for starring in Disney’s Descendants franchise and the TV series, Jessie. He also voices Herman Schultz/Shocker in Disney XD’s new Spider-Man animated series.
