Marvel is developing a limited series on Falcon and Winter Soldier for the new Disney streaming service.

We learned a few months ago that Marvel was planning multiple limited series for the upcoming streaming service that would focus on characters like Loki and Scarlet Witch — those that haven’t been at the center of their own movies.

Empire writer Malcolm Spellman has been tapped to write the series on the characters portrayed by Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.

Variety, who exclusively reported this news, says “Unlike other Marvel shows like Daredevil and The Punisher, the series on the Disney streaming service will be produced by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige, who has headed up the MCU for years. The shows are also expected to have large budgets compared to other television projects.”

Netflix recently canceled two of its Marvel shows, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, and it’s believed to be due in large part to this upcoming streaming service.
