Despite showing new footage at San Diego Comic-Con, but not releasing it to the general public, Marvel has unleashed a new poster for Black Panther.

The cast and director Ryan Coogler gathered for a panel talking about the film and their characters.

Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa/Black Panther) told the crowd, “I grew up as young black kid in the Bay Area and grew up with comic books. It didn’t matter what color the superheros were; I read X-Men. I read Spider-Man. One day, I walked into the comic-book shop and was looking for comic-book characters like me, and the first one I saw was Black Panther.

On being introduced to comics and Black Panther, director Ryan Coogler said, “I wanted to find a comic book character who looks like me. The shop owner took me Black Panther.”
The footage screened at Comic-Con was the casino scene that we see in the teaser trailer in which T’Challa with Dora Milaje members Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Okoye (Danai Gurira) plan to intercept a meeting between CIA operative Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) and Klaue (Andy Serkis). The footage shown brought Hall H to its feet.

In the next couple of months, we’ll surely see some sort of footage or probably an official trailer released.
