Marvel has set release dates for a whopping seven upcoming films.
Keep in mind, this does not factor in the films releasing later this year (Avengers: Infinity War, Ant Man and the Wasp), or those that are already in development or production — Captain Marvel (March 2019), Untitled Avengers film (May 2019), Untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel (July 2019) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2020).
Here are the dates:

— Untitled Marvel 2/18/22
— Untitled Marvel 11/5/21
— Untitled Marvel 7/30/21
— Untitled Marvel 5/7/21
— Untitled Marvel 7/31/20
So, of course we can definitely presume that at least one of these films will be the inevitable Black Panther spin-off. One of these could also either be a third Black Panther film, or at least another MCU film central to the Black Panther characters. Not counting the few exceptions, most sequels and following films take place 3-4 years in between the last movie’s release, so one of these films may be a Black Panther release, but it is more likely only one of them will be. You also have to factor in the extremly busy schedules of the Black Panther cast and its director (it would be crazy not to bring Ryan Coogler back at any cost), so yeah, probably only one film could be fit in at this time period, but you know we can’t count it out.
Most fans know that with the conclusion of the Untitled Avengers film in May 2019, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as we know it may change as several cast options expire. So, while newcomers like the Black Panther cast won’t see a shakeup, actors who have been in many films for years may not return, leaving the door open for different iterations of these superheroes to step in. With that being said, if Marvel hasn’t already started their casting process for RiRi Williams/Ironheart to succeed Robert Downey, Jr., then they are too late. “Phase Four” of the MCU officially beings with Spider-Man Homecoming in 2019.
Marvel may use this as an opportunity to introduce other black superheroes, or give ones that have been supporting heroes in other films their shine. The world would love a Valkyrie movie starring Tessa Thompson. And alhough this is just speculation at this point, many are already convinced that DeWanda Wise will play Monica Rambeau in Captain Marvel, who could lead a solo film as well if this is the case.
We are unsure how the Fox/Disney deal may play into this, but if worked out in time, one of these films may be used to introduce characters like Storm or the Fantastic Four into the MCU.
