Marvel Studios and Disney have dropped the first trailer for Marvel’s Eternals, the highly-anticipated upcoming feature from Academy Award winner Chloe Zhao.

Eternals will be the third film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following this summer’s Black Widow and the fall’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Marvel Studios’ “Eternals” welcomes an exciting new team of Super Heroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The epic story, spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s oldest enemy, The Deviants. The outstanding ensemble cast includes Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.

In the comics, Henry’s Phastos is an Eternal with powers including superhuman speed, strength, durability, regeneration, teleportation and flight. Ridloff (who is deaf in real life)’s Makkari, originally a white man in the comics, is a deaf, immortal superhero with superhuman strength and speed.

Also in the MCU Phase 4 are the recently premiered WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as well as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Loki series, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Thor 4: Love and Thunder and more.
