Shadow and Act has learned that Marvel’s Runaways series on Hulu has been renewed for a second season.

The second season will consist of 13 episodes, following its freshman run, which has 10 episodes.

Season 1’s finale airs this Tuesday.

The show is based on the Marvel comic book series of the same name. It is the story of six diverse teenagers and former friends who can barely stand each other. Upon reunion, they find out they have superpowers and must unite against a common foe – their parents.

It stars Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, Allegra Acosta as the teens, and Annie Wersching, Ryan Sands, Angel Parker, Ever Carradine, James Marsters, Kevin Weisman, Brigid Brannah, James Yaegashi, Brittany Ishibashi, Kip Pardue and Julian McMahon as their parents.

Marvel’s Runaways is executive produced by series showrunners/writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage along with Marvel’s Head of Television, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory Fake Empire’s Lis Rowinski will produce as well. Marvel’s Runaways is a co-production with ABC Signature Studios.
