Tonight’s the night! The long wait is over, as BBC America begins its 4-episode season 3 of its hit drama series Luther, airing all 4 episodes, 4 nights in a row, starting tonight, 9/3, through 9/6, at 10pm ET/PT.
The much-anticipated return of the series starring Idris Elba in the title role that won him a Golden Globe Best Actor award, promises an even darker, more intense season 3, which finds the near-genius detective back under intense pressure with two conflicting crimes to investigate and a ruthless ex-cop determined to bring him down. But love also crosses the detective’s path in this new chapter when he meets Mary Day (Sienna Guillory). However, it looks like Alice Morgan (Ruth Wilson) will have a little something to say about that little romance that’s putting a genuine rare smile on Luther’s face, as you’ll see in the new clip below.
