Starz’s upcoming Power spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost, has cast its second principal role.
Method Man has joined the series, which is led by Mary J. Blige. The network says he will play a lawyer, Davis MacClean, described as “brilliant, ethically challenged, and with a few secrets of his own Davis is drawn into our world on multiple axes, a world riddled with murder and drugs, where the only thing he’s really addicted to is winning.”
The spinoff was first announced during the Television Critics Association press tour last year.
The show is one of the multiple Power spinoffs in development through massive overall deals that both Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent have (Kemp has one at Lionsgate, the studio, 50 Cent has one at Starz, the network). Power Book II: Ghost is currently filming.
