Method Man Says He's Literally Ready To Star In A Superhero Pic: 'Come On, Marvel'

Clifford “Method Man” Smith, also known as one of the legendary members of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan, has had quite an acting career, acting in series like HBO’s The Wire and The Deuce. Method Man has also become a big physical fitness advocate, showing off his transformation and inspiring the next generation to make healthy decisions.

He is so confident in his physique that he has been campaigning to star in a superhero movie, as he told Insider recently.

Method Man recently spoke about his fitness journey

Method Man has become a fitness guru of sorts, posting his workouts on Instagram in an effort to show his progress, but he ended up inspiring fans along the way. Method Man told Insider about his recent fitness journey, saying, “Maturity is when you look in the mirror and you get tired of your own BS. And that was it for me, you know, I was just wanting to change,” He goes on to say, “I wanted to do something for myself instead of for everybody else. I can only be responsible for my actions and hope it inspires the next generation to do the same.”

Method Man says he is ready for Marvel

Method Man says that he is ready to take on a superhero role and is confident in his physical abilities to portray anyone. For the next phase of his career, he wants to be an action hero, saying:

“This whole journey wasn’t necessarily for that. It was for myself, but I think I’m ready,” he said in reference to his physical transformation.

He goes on to say, “I got the shirt-off action film thing. I could run, stoic, face straight, running with your shirt off kinda thing. You know, I’m ready, man. Come on Marvel. Come on Russo brothers, I’m here.”

This isn't the first time he's spoke about Marvel role, as he wants to play Bishop

In 2019, he reposted an image on his Instagram page, depicting himself as Lucas Bishop with a caption that read, “thanx for the look now if we can get @marvel and @marvelstudios on board.. er’body tag.” The rapper also tagged Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige’s respective Instagram accounts in the post.

Hopefully, we will see Method Man in a superhero or action movie soon. He currently stars in the Power spinoff Power Book II: Ghost.
