Well, he didn't have much luck with the Fox TV network, after starring in 2 failed drama series in "Almost Human" and the last season of the "The Following" (2 shows I actually enjoyed; both were canceled unfortunately). So let's see if the luck of ABC rubs off on him.
Michael Ealy assumes leading man duties in the upcoming season of ABC's anthology series "Secrets & Lies" in which he'll star opposite Juliette Lewis.
Based on the Australian TV series of the same name, the season co-stars Juliette Lewis playing Detective Andrea Cornell opposite Michael Ealy, in a case that will see Ealy as a man whose wife's murder is under investigation, and, as you can expect, he becomes the prime suspect. Did he do it? Did he not do it?
Here's a breakdown: Smart, well-educated and hard working, Eric Warner is at the top of his game - he’s the heir apparent to his family’s private equity firm in Charlotte, NC, newly married to “the one” and walking on air. Eric is attending a party to honor dad passing over the reins when suddenly tragedy strikes - his wife Kate is murdered, and life, as he knows it, is over.
These so-called anthology series seem to be getting popular - the "American Horror Story" franchise, as well as "True Detective," "American Crime," "American Crime Story," "Secrets & Lies," and whatever else I'm missing.
"Secrets & Lies" will premiere mid-season on ABC 2016/2017.
