Radio host and comedian Michael Yo is parlaying his real-life experience for television. Deadline is reporting that Yo will star in and write a now-untitled, multi-generational family comedy slated to be developed by Fox.

The show, also written by Bojack Horseman writer Nick Adams, will chronicle the adventures of a young couple whose lives are thrown for a loop when one of their parents show up to assist with their newborn child.

Reflecting Yo’s mixed-race background, the father is described as an African American Ph.D. scientist who served in the military, while the mother is described as an Asian woman with a knack for scheming and mischief.

Viewers familiar with Yo will recognize him as a guest correspondent on the CBS daytime show The Talk and the Fox daytime staple The Wendy Williams Show.

No release date has been announced for Yo’s comedy.
