With four series orders coming in on Friday for ABC, the network has also axed a number of shows.

ABC has canceled freshman drama Rebel, freshman comedy Call Your Mother, long-running comedy series American Housewife, black-ish spinoff mixed-ish and sophomore drama For Life.

Meanwhile, the network renewed black-ish for a final season alongside The Conners, The Goldbergs, The Rookie and Home Economics

With mixed-ish gone and black-ish with only one more season left, Kenya Barris still has old-ish in development at ABC. Led by Tika Sumpter and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, mixed-ish focused on the early life of Dr. Rainbow “Bow” Johnson as she recounted her experience growing up in the 1980s with a mixed-race family. Christina Anthony, Arica Himmel, Ethan William Childress, Mykal-Michelle Harris and Gary Cole also starred.

For Life was led by Nicholas Pinnock and also starred Boris McGiver, Dorian Missick, Glenn Fleshler, Indira Varma, Joy Bryant, Mary Stuart Masterson and Tyla Harris. It followed wrongfully convicted prisoner-turned-litigator and social crusader Aaron Wallace (Pinnock) who continued to fight and embark on a more personal journey in season 2. The show was inspired by the life of Isaac Wright Jr. and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson produced it.

The light legal drama Rebel starred Katey Sagal and Tamala Jones while Call Your Mother starred Kyra Sedgwick.
