Pose star Mj Rodriguez has landed her first major role after the FX ballroom drama series concludes its third and final season soon.

She has landed a starring role opposite Maya Rudolph in an untitled comedy series at Apple TV+ from Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard.

The series, created and written by Yang and Hubbard, follows Rudolph’s Molly, “a woman whose seemingly perfect life is upended after her husband leaves her with nothing but $87 billion.” Rodriguez has been cast as Sofia, the “hard-working executive director” of a nonprofit funded by Molly.

Yang and Hubbard executive produce with Rudolph through her Animal Pictures. Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Renfrew Behrens also executive produce with Dave Becky. Universal Television is the studio.

Rodriguez’s critically-acclaimed turn as Blanca on Pose netted her a Critics Choice nomination this year.
