Much Drama (As You'd Probably Expect) in 'Empire' Mid-Season Trailer

EMPIRE"Empire" is coming back to complete its second season on March 30th, in case you’ve forgotten (it feels like it’s been a while since my Twitter feed has been dominated by "Empire" tweets). I’m surprised at how long of a break Fox decided to take between the first and second halves of the season, given how ravenous fans tend to be.

The network did renew the primetime soap opera for a third season, earlier this year, and not long after that, co-star Taraji P. Henson won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama.

Having taken TV audiences by storm in its record-setting first season, "Empire" returned this season as the No. 1 series on broadcast television among Adults 18-49, averaging 21.2 million viewers across multiple platforms per FOX’s press release. The series also is the most tweeted-about scripted program on broadcast television on Twitter.

Cookie, Lucious and the entire Lyon family return with a vengeance when the series airs its Season Two spring premiere on Wednesday, March 30 (9-10 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

A mid-season trailer has been released and is embedded below:

Without family…the music dies. Here’s your exclusive first look at the spring premiere of Empire, coming March 30 to FOX!
