Must Be Something in the Water... Another NBA Star Is Developing a Bio-Inspired TV Series

nullLeBron James has "Survivor’s Remorse," which debuted this fall on Starz; yesterday, it was announced that Baron Davis sold an autobiographical TV comedy to Fox. Today, Chris Paul joins the growing list of NBA stars developing autobiographical projects for television.

The Los Angeles Clippers point guard has teamed up with writer Warren Lieberstein ("The Office") and producers Eric and Kim Tannenbaum ("Two and a Half Men") to develop a family comedy based on his early life experiences growing up in North Carolina, with an older brother, their mother and grandfather.

The currently untitled project is set up at CBS.

Paul will exec produce with his brother, CJ Paul, as well as Lieberstein and the Tannenbaums.

One can only assume that the early success of LeBron James’ "Survivor’s Remorse," which was recently renewed for a second season, has been inspiration for these new NBA player-related project announcements.

Variety first reported the news.
