Once close friends, it now looks like Nene Leakes and Marlo Hampton are no longer tight.
Leakes left The Real Housewives of Atlanta following Season 12 and is now suing the network for workplace discrimination and retaliation. Unfortunately, she says she hasn’t been in touch with her longtime pal Hampton amid all of this.
Leakes says she hasn’t spoken with Marlo Hampton in a while
As reported by RadarOnline, Leakes spoke with fans in an Instagram Q&A. When asked about her relationship with Hampton, Leakes says she doesn’t keep up with any of the current housewives and never does when she’s not filming.
“What’s she doing now? Lord, they say she wearing furs and running around,” Leakes read aloud with a laugh. “I don’t know what going on with these girls. I don’t honey. I try not to keep up.”
She continued: "I haven't spoken to Marlo in a long time. It's crazy ... you know what I'm saying? We don't have any issues but I don't know what's going on. It's just like that ... that's how that show is," she continued.
Leakes says it’s the production team’s goal to “conquer and divide” the women on and off the show. Hampton and Leakes have gone without speaking previously during Hampton’s brief friendship with Kenya Moore. Leakes and Hampton’s estrangement comes amid Leakes’ lawsuit against Bravo.
Hampton sends well wishes to Leakes amid her lawsuit against the network
She told Extra, “You know, we’re going to leave that where it’s at. Just sending my sister some love and kisses, and we’re gonna keep talking about me and my peach and how it’s my time to shine, baby.”
Leakes threw slight shade at Hampton over the two not speaking since Hampton officially got her peach. Still, Hampton did attend the memorial service for Leakes’ late husband, Gregg, in Sept. 2021.
