Fresh off the news that former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to produce both scripted and unscripted content, the conservative backlash against black America’s royal family has begun, and we are not one bit surprised by this nonsense.
Right on time with their patented brand of unseasoned nonsense, conservatives on Twitter are threatening to boycott the streaming service despite Obama associates saying it’s unlikely for Netflix programs produced by the Obamas to be extremely partisan.
Either way, we’d imagined that the former president and first lady are unbothered by this nonsense.

Dear @netflix,
No one, I mean no one asked for more Obama garbage. I hope this falls apart, but I’m may have to cancel #Netflix and just go with @amazon or @hulu. #ImpeachObama #ObamaGate #ObamaGateSpyScandal— Courtland Martens (@CourtMartensJD) May 21, 2018
I’d rather watch paint dry. https://t.co/Bzr2GLuyMv

Some conservatives also boycotted when former UN Ambassador Susan Rice was appointed to the Netflix board of directors.
Netflix’s CEO Reed Hastings endorsed Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election and has often criticized President Donald Trump.
Describing it as a “storytelling partnership,” Barack and Michelle Obama have started their own Higher Ground Productions banner to create content (which includes programming that could be unscripted series, docuseries, features and more) that will be a part of this Netflix deal.
