Netflix Cancels Series 'Partner Track' And 'The Imperfects' After Just One Season

Netflix has axed two of its new shows after just one season each.

The streamer has decided not to proceed with the second seasons of the legal series Partner Track starring Arden Ho and the sci-fi drama The Impefects starring Italia Ricci.

Season 1 of the 'Partner Track' series ended with a cliffhanger.

As Deadline reports, the team commissioned a writer’s room that was up and running working on new ideas. Another thing helping the show was the fact that the show was produced through Jax Media on a modest budget, but it wasn’t enough to save the show.

The synposis was as follows:

Ingrid Yun (Arden Cho), a 1st generation Korean American and the first lawyer in her family, experiences the trials and tribulations of excelling at the prestigious (but old school) law firm, Parsons Valentine. With the support of her friends, she battles through workplace challenges to break through the glass ceiling on her path to become partner. But will her drive and ambition leave room for love?

The series also starred Bradley Gibson, Alexandra Turshen, Dominic Sherwood, Rob Heaps, Nolan Gerard Funk, Matthew Rauch and Roby Attal.

'The Imperfects' also didn't make the cut

The show followed three individuals with different careers who are turned into monsters after undergoing gene therapy. It was created by Shelly Eriksen and Dennis Heaton. Like Partner Track, the show did not garner much buzz.

The synopsis was:

Three outsiders – lamentable leftovers of science experiments gone bad – band together to search for the Mad Scientist who conducted those experiments and transformed each of them into something that isn’t quite human anymore.

The series also starred Morgan Taylor Campbell, Rhianna Jagpal, Iñaki Godoy, Kyra Zagorsky, Jedidiah Goodacre, Rhys Nicholson and Celina Martin
