Netflix has signed a first-look deal with Grammy Award-winning musician Megan Thee Stallion, Shadow and Act has confirmed. Under the deal, she will create and executive produce new series and other projects for Netflix.  

“I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix,’ said Megan The Stallion in a statement received by Shadow and Act Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”

Tracey Pakosta, Netflix’s Head of Comedy said: “Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture. She’s always growing and evolving as an artist, and we’re thrilled that she’s making a home at Netflix for this next chapter in her journey.”

This is Thee Stallion’s (real name Megan Pete) biggest foray into television and film. She currently appears on the judging panel for HBO Max’s ballroom competition series, Legendary. She’s also had a guest-starring role on the NBC comedy series, Good Girls.

The three-time Grammy winner released her critically-acclaimed debut album, Good News, last year. She nabbed two Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits with the “Savage (Remix)” featuring Beyoncé, and “WAP” with Cardi B, Her Grammy wins include including Best New Artist and she’s also won nine BET Awards. She recently earned a bachelor of science degree in health administration from Texas Southern University.
