With the release date of the Michelle Obama documentary Becoming set for this week, it has been revealed that daughters Malia Obama, 21, and Natasha Sasha” Obama, 18, will provide their first public interviews in the film. This will be the first time that they have spoken publicly.

In the upcoming documentary, the Obama sisters open up about their famous mother, Michelle and life outside of the White House.

Sasha, who attends the University of Michigan, revealed she’s excited for her mother to be proud of her laurels. I’m excited for her to be proud of what she’s done,” says Sasha in the doc (as reported by Oprah magazinewho broke this news). Because I think that that’s the most important thing for a human to do, is be proud of themselves.” According to the Oprah magazine report, Sasha dons an Aaliyah shirt during the interview.

Malia revealed that their mother is no longer facing that same scrutiny—being able to let all of that leave your mind, creates so much more space.”

Becoming, which will give audiences an exclusive look into the life of the former First Lady, will start streaming on Netflix on May 6.
