We can only point to very few times when a character’s casting in a television or film isn’t unveiled until a trailer release.

However, Deadpool 2 is one of those cases.

In a new trailer released on Wednesday focused on the character of Cable (Josh Brolin), we see that Terry Crews is playing an unspecified, yet pivotal role in the movie based on the Marvel antihero.

In Deadpool 2, After surviving a near-fatal knee boarding accident, a disfigured guidance counselor, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Poughkeepsie’s most celebrated French Bulldog breeder while also learning to cope with an open relationship. Searching to regain his passion for life, as well as a new stuffed unicorn, Wade must battle ninjas, tight-assed metal men, and babysit a group stereotypical side characters as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and creative outlets for his very open-minded sex life. He manages to find a new lust for being a do-gooder, a sparkly Hello Kitty backpack, all while earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best 4th Wall Breaking Superhero.

Zazie Beetz’s character, Domino (a.k.a Neena Thurman), is best known as a member of the X-Men offshoot X-Force. In addition to her exceptional marksmanship and hand-to-hand skills, Domino possesses mutant probability-altering powers. She often uses her skills as a mercenary, but has also been the partner, confidante, and lover of the superhero Cable, a lieutenant in his militant group X-Force, and a member of the X-Men.

Leslie Uggams is reprising her role from the first movie as Blind Al, an elderly blind woman and Deadpool’s roommate.

It is unclear who his character is as of now.

Crews currently stars in Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Deadpool 2 premieres May 18, 2018 — right before Solo: A Star Wars Story.
