Colman Domingo will take his acting talents to television, with a role on AMC’s upcoming "The Walking Dead" summer spin-off series, "Fear The Walking Dead."
Set for an August premiere (although the exact day hasn’t been given yet), the new series will take place in Los Angeles during the zombie apocalypse.
The starring cast includes Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.
With a two seasons ordered by AMC, "Fear the Walking Dead" debuts this summer, with a second season set for the summer of 2016.
I suppose this companion series is, in part, meant to keep fans of the original, engaged and satiated, until "The Walking Dead" returns in the fall.
No word yet on what character Domingo has signed up to play, but the busy actor is currently filming Nate Parker’s Nat Turner film, "The Birth of a Nation." We last saw him on the big screen in "Selma" playing Ralph Abernathy.
