TraffickedMaking its New York premiere this Saturday, April 23 at 2pm, is "Trafficked," from Sean Hodgkinson, a writer, director and producer from Trinidad and Tobago.

The film follows best friends George, Penny and Nadia who find themselves being seduced by a stranger’s wealth and charm, while on vacation on an idyllic Caribbean island. When the stranger’s true motives are revealed, the three friends realize that they are pawns in a deadly game.

Written and directed by Sean Hodgkinson, "Trafficked" stars Kia Rollock as Nadia, Aaron Charles as George, Gyerlini Clarke as Penny and Brett Bengochea as Alejandro.

The Quirky Films feature film (in association with Eye On Dependency) is produced by Marcia Henville, and Hodgkinson, who also executive produce with Garth St.Clair.

“Team Quirky is really proud of the film and I am really proud of the end result," said Hodgkinson. "I think the film has a powerful message that needs to be told. Although, this is a film that is created from inside my head, it is based on things that actually happened, and when you think about it, that someone actually went through this, that is truly terrifying.”

The film won the Best Trinidad and Tobago feature Film at last year’s Trinidad + Tobago Film Festival.

It makes its New York premiere this Saturday, April 23 at 2pm – a screening that will be preceded by a new short film from Sunny King titled "Prey." A Q&A with director Sean Hodgkinson will follow. Tickets are now on sale, and you’re strongly encouraged to pre-order yours here http://www.bam.org/film/2016/trafficked
