Did you know that Nipsey Hussle had a guest-starring role on The CW’s musical dramedy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend? In the wake of Nipsey Hussle’s unexpected death, a fan posted a clip from the time he appeared on the show, which just wrapped its series finale Thursday night.

Nipsey Hussle and Lauren London fan account @LaurenLNipsey posted a clip from the 2015 premiere “Josh Just Happens To Live Here,” in which Hussle appears in “The Sexy Getting Ready Song.” As he wraps a couple of bars, he realizes just how much women have to do to get ready to go out. He then has a feminist, anti-patriarchy awakening and calls all of his women backup dancers to apologize and affirm their personhoods.

Hussle’s appearance on the show would foreshadow another brush with television. Lena Waithe recently revealed that Hussle was up for the role of Ronnie in her Showtime series, The Chi. “A lot of people don’t this but he auditioned for Ronnie,” she wrote on Twitter the night of his death. “He was so good he got a callback. We talked about the fact that he didn’t drink or smoke. He was so cool and sweet. His lyrics were vulnerable and gritty at the same time. This one hurts.”

Hussle was murdered outside of his South Los Angeles clothing store on March 31. He was 33 years old. Eric Holder, 29, has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He has entered a not guilty plea.
