Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Jordan Peele’s third feature film, Nope. The film follows Get Out and Us and is under the five-year deal his production company, Monkeypaw, has at Universal.

The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun and also features Michael Wincott, Brandon Perea and Barbie Ferreira.

The official description:

“What’s a bad miracle?”

Oscar® winner Jordan Peele disrupted and redefined modern horror with Get Out and then Us. Now, he reimagines the summer movie with a new pop nightmare: the expansive horror epic, Nope.

The film reunites Peele with Oscar® winner Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out, Judas and the Black Messiah), who is joined by Keke Palmer (Hustlers, Alice) and Oscar® nominee Steven Yeun (Minari, Okja) as residents in a lonely gulch of inland California who bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.

The film has a release date of July 22.

Palmer briefly spoke about joining the film last year, stating  “It’s just the kinda thing that’s serendipitous. Things are aligned. It’s like the things you wish for actually coming to fruition.”

The film s written and directed by Jordan Peele and is produced Peele and Ian Cooper.
