For its premiere last night, “First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House – An Oprah Winfrey Special” won its time period with 9.39 million viewers, according to Nielsen (live plus same day) ratings for Monday, Dec. 19. The special delivered CBS’ largest audience in the Monday (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) time period since Oct. 17.
If you missed last night’s broadcast, OWN will air a second showing of the special on Wednesday, Dec. 21 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).
In the special, taped this month, Oprah Winfrey speaks to First Lady Michelle Obama for her final one-on-one interview inside the White House. During the exclusive interview in the First Family’s private residence, topics include details about life at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and her eight years as First Lady of the United States, the legacy she’ll leave behind and her plans for the future.
