A special on the WACO Theater Center’s Wearable Art Gala is coming to OWN.

The special, from Black Love producer Steve Jones, will be the first of its kind in the event’s three-year history.

The event is the flagship charitable, costume gala for the North Hollywood-based nonprofit WACO (Where Art Can Occur) Foundation, which was founded by co-artistic directors Tina Knowles-Lawson and Richard Lawson. According to a statement, WACO “provides [a] creative center where art can truly occur and provides actors, artists and youth a place to explore their talents.”

The theme of this year’s gala was A Journey to The Pride Lands, ahead of the release of Disney’s The Lion King this summer. The gala raises funds for WACO’s nonprofit gallery and performance complex. Beyoncé, Solange, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams were event co-chairs and Tiffany Haddish was the master of ceremonies.  Presenters included Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis and author Shaka Senghor and Tyler Perry was one of the honorees recognized for “their positive contributions to the entertainment industry and world at large, through their art.”

“Whether  producing innovative content for the big and small screens or curating live experiences such as our Hollywood Confidential series, my mission is to create programming that allows people to see themselves reflected in ways that elevates their consciousness, pushes them to becoming their best selves,” said Jones, who is the president of production company Brand Maverick Entertainment.

The special will air on June 11 at 10 p.m on the network.
