New faces will be in The Pynk for Season 2. P-Valley has added both Gail Bean and Psalms Salazar in key roles.
The news was announced during Starz’s Television Critics Association tour press day.
Joining as a series regular, Salazar will play Whisper, “an enigmatic free spirit with a spooky streak who speaks in riddles and eerie truths. She’s blessed with a direct line to the universe and sight beyond the earthly realm. The air to Roulette’s fire, Whisper becomes a full-blown tornado when she hits the pole.”
Bean joins in a recurring role as Roulette, “a feisty wild child who truly lives up to her name—she’s taking major risks and breaking allllll of Uncle Clifford’s rules. Like fire, she’s dangerous, unpredictable, and uncontrollable—but dazzling to watch. On and off the pole, she’s turning The Pynk upside down.”
During a virtual set tour, creator and showrunner Katori Hall also talked about season 2 of the show
Hall revealed that season 2 of the show will address the pandemic and will focus on how the club will operate during challenge times with Uncle Clifford and Autumn Night at the helm. She also teased a big storyline for Lil’ Murda and four original songs that will be a part of the season. Cast members also talked during the tour, including Shannon Thornton on the nuances of Miss Mississippi’s arc.

Alphonse Nicholson as Lil’ Murda, Parker Sawyers as Andre, Harriett D. Foy as Pastor Woodbine, Dan J. Johnson as Corbin, Tyler Lepley as Diamond and Skyler Joy as Gidget.
