With all the
bad news that comes out of Detroit, it’s about time something positive was
reported and I can’t think of anything better than this.
Starting
today, Friday Feb. 21, and continuing through Saturday Feb. 22, The Redford Theater in Detroit will be “presenting
three riveting films starring the queen of high-octane action thrillers,” starring
the one and only Pam Grier.
James Hill’s Coffy will be the feature on tonight, starting at 8:00PM, and Hill’s Foxy Brown
will be shown on Sat. Feb. 22,
at 2:00PM.
Then on Saturday
night, starting at 8PM, Quentin Tarantino’s
film Jackie Brown will round out the festival.
And needless to
say, Ms. Grier will be in person for every screening.
