Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tiffany Haddish, Larenz Tate, Kate Walsh, Mike Colter, and Kofi Siriboe make up the cast of director Malcolm D. Lee’s “Barbershop: The Next Cut” follow-up, the upcoming Universal comedy “Girls Trip,” scripted by Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver, from a story by Erica Rivinoja, Barris and Oliver.

Produced by Will Packer and Malcolm D. Lee, “Girls Trip” follows four lifelong friends—Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish— who travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, where sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, and there’s enough dancing, drinking, brawling and romancing to make the Big Easy blush.

The film is executive produced by James Lopez, head of motion pictures for Will Packer Productions, and Preston Holmes.

Universal has set a July 21, 2017 release date for “Girls Trip,” right in the thick of summer, so expectations must be high!

Universal has premiered a first poster for the upcoming movie which is embedded below, followed by the trailer:
