Power creator Courtney A. Kemp is gearing up for another gritty drama. This time, she’s tackling the police force.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kemp is developing Dirty Thirty with Lionsgate TV’s Chris Selak for HBO.

Dirty Thirty, inspired by a true story, follows a group of dirty cops from New York’s 30th precinct in the ’90s. “Dirty Thirty begins as a story of a cop family and ends as the story of a crime wave infecting the highest levels of municipal government, corrupting the justice system and defining a city,” states The Hollywood Reporter.

If the show gets the green light, Kemp will write, executive produce and act as showrunner. Actor Jerry Ferrara will also be an executive producer, with The Intellectual Property Corp’s Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman producing.
