Netflix has dropped the first look images for the second season of the Michael B. Jordan-produced, family superhero drama, Raising Dion. Season 2 is coming to Netflix on Feb. 1st, 2022.
1. Here is the official description of the next season of 'Raising Dion':
Raising Dion follows the story of Nicole (Alisha Wainwright) and her son Dion (Ja’Siah Young) after Dion starts to manifest several mysterious, superhero-like abilities. Two years after defeating the Crooked Man (Jason Ritter), Season Two follows Dion as he continues honing his powers with the support of his mom and Tevin (Rome Flynn), his Biona trainer who catches Nicole’s eye. After befriending new student Brayden (Griffin Robert Faulkner) – a fellow powered kid – a series of alarming events unfold, and Dion learns that danger is still looming. Navigating twists, turns, and surprise visitors, Dion and Nicole must prevail again — not just to save themselves, but the entire city of Atlanta.
2. 'Raising Dion' season 2 premieres in Feb. 2022
Raising Dion is based on the comic of the same name by Dennis Liu and the series is executive produced by Michael B. Jordan, Kenny Goodman and Liu.
The new season also stars Jazmyn Simon (Kat), Sammi Haney (Esperanza), Griffin Robert Faulkner (Brayden Mills), Ali Ahn (Suzanne Wu), Gavin Munn (Jonathan King), Rome Flynn (Tevin Wakefield), Aubriana Davis (Janelle Carr), Tracey Bonner (Simone Carr), Josh Ventura (David Marsh).
The first season has an 82 percent rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, with the critical consensus reading, “While its family drama and superhero aspirations don’t quite come together, compelling performances and a sense of wonder keep Raising Dion afloat and suggest that with a little more guidance it could become something great.”
