Issa Rae is the latest to get into the HBO Max business.

The Insecure star and creator had a project announced for the new WarnerMedia streaming service at its presentation on Tuesday.

The series, Rap Sh*t (working title) is described as “a half-hour comedy series that follows a female rap group from outside of Miami trying to make it in the music industry.”

The series will be executive produced by Rae and Montrel McKay for Issa Rae Productions, as well as Jonathan Berry and Dave Becky for 3 Arts Entertainment. Rae will also be writing the pilot.

This is just the latest in a series of projects Rae has in development, including many series in different stages of production at HBO.
