Raven’s Home, starring Raven-Symoné has brought Raven Baxter’s dad, Victor (Rondell Sheridan)…but fans want to know what happened to Raven’s mom, Tanya (T’Keyah Crystal Keymáh). Raven-Symoné herself gave viewers an update on if her TV mom could come on Raven’s Home.

“T’Keiyah and I still have a lovely relationship. We…are still in each other’s lives,” she said to Entertainment Tonight, adding that there’s a call out to her to come back to the show.

But until then, Tanya Baxter is currently still in England, where he's living as a lawyer."

“Tanya Baxter is still in England. She is getting her full life as a lawyer and she sends money home, so thanks, Mom,” she said. “How do you think we have this big house in San Francisco? Off a restaurant? I don’t think so!”

The latter statement refers to Victor’s job as a chef. In franchise lore, Victor’s chef career took him and his son Cory (Kyle Massey) to the White House, where he worked for the President of the United States in Cory in the House. But now he’s back home in San Francisco, recuperating after a mild heart attack.

While Raven has moved back home to take care of her father with her son Booker (Isaac Brown), Raven-Symoné is hoping that Tanya can make an appearance soon, asking fans to keep the good vibes flowing.

“Thank you everybody for loving Tanya. We love her as well, and T’Keyah Crystal Keymáh is such an amazing comedian. I learned so much from her when we did the show in the beginning, so we definitely have to keep our fingers crossed.”

In a recent interview with Shadow and Act, Raven-Symoné said that she is happy to bring the characters back to their That’s So Raven roots.

“You know, when we started the first season of Raven’s Home, we really wanted to tell people that this wasn’t a reboot,” she said. “It’s a different show with similar characters, but a different show. This time you guys…we are home! We are with dad, we are with family and we have some amazing characters coming back from the original That’s So Raven, so this is closer to a reboot….[well] anything but still not a reboot. We don’t like to call it that [laughs].”

She added, “We are having such a good time on the sets that I grew up on and being able to watch new characters thrive in these sets and create new stories to add to the beautiful cake that’s already been created there is just…we have a great day, every day of the week.”
