Real Murders of Atlanta brings viewers into the dark and scary true crime stories from the Peach State. In this clip from the new Oxygen series, a victim’s past relationship becomes a prime factor in his death.

The episode, “Blunt Instrument,” finds a wealthy entrepreneur killed, leaving detectives a huge list of suspects to narrow down. According to the episode synopsis, “When a tech mogul (Lance Herndon0 is found bludgeoned to death in his lavish Roswell bedroom, detectives quickly compile a long list of potential suspects. Police ultimately zero in on one scorned lover who wouldn’t take no for an answer.”

Real Murders of Atlanta will follow various homicide cases and their eventual conclusions. Viewers will learn more about the class and race boundaries that affect the cases, as well as how far people will go to secure the bag. As the series description states:

“Real Murders of Atlanta” portrays the unbelievable cases of homicide that highlight the boundaries between gentrified Southern dynasties, hip hop hustlers and the flashy nouveau riche of this metropolitan mecca of music, entertainment and tech. Real Murders of Atlanta premieres Jan. 16 at 8/7c on Oxygen.
