The Intruder star Meagan Good gave Shadow And Act some insight on some of her biggest roles for the latest episode of our series, Reel it Back.
Good says that her first major role as Cisely Batiste in the 1997 film Eve’s Bayou “was the beginning” for her, after working her way up in the industry as an extra.
“When the [Eve’s Bayou] script I was playing Eve because I was 10 and they didn’t get the funding for it for three and a half years later. So I was like, I have to play Cisely,” she said, adding that she was grateful to be given the chance to play a role that she described as “a turning point.”
She also talked about how her role as April in 2007’s Stomp the Yard filled a particular void in her life.
“I didn’t go to college. I was a child actor and kept going from there so for me it was great,” she said. “It was a fun college experience for me.”
