Fresh off the acclaim from the Hulu miniseries Little Fires Everywhere, actress and producer Reese Witherspoon is turning her attention to a potential third season of the sensational HBO drama Big Little Lies.
During an Instagram Live session with her Big Little Lies co-star Laura Dern, the actresses discussed returning to the beachfront town of Monterey for a third installment of Big Little Lies.
“We want to do it, we’re just kind of waiting,” said Witherspoon. “ We’re trying, guys. We’re trying to come up with the right story — and how do we end after that cliffhanger?”
When discussing which celebrities they’d like to see join the Big Little Lies crew, Witherspoon proposed Ice Cube.
“I wish Ice Cube! Ice Cube should be in Big Little Lies 3,” said Witherspoon, to which Dern, 53, replied, “Hello? Obviously. There’s no question…and such a good actor!”
Ice Cube, who started his career as a rapper, later transitioned into an acting career. On the acting front, he’s known best for his roles in films such as Friday, Boyz N The Hood, and Barbershop.
