Remy Ma is back for season 2 of VH1’s My True Crime Story. The series’ new season premieres Aug. 29 at 10/9c.

The Grammy award-winning rapper and actress will continue to narrate the series, which features stories of real crime from across the country. According to the official description:

The eight-episode series follows ordinary people who got caught up in outrageous, unlawful crimes ranging from drug trafficking and steroid production to counterfeiting and jewelry theft. Host Remy Ma narrates each episode of thrilling tales, told in first-person by the people who lived them. The series sheds light on the rise, fall and redemption of each individual as they tell their unbelievable and scandalous stories.

The series is produced by Hot Snakes Media and executive produced by Eric Evangelista, Shannon Evangelista, Astra Finnie and Lamonda Williams. Todd Radnitz, Melissa Tallerine and Jubba Seyyid are executive producing for VH1.

Aside from My True Crime Story, Remy Ma recently made her acting debut in BET+ film American Ganger Presents: Big Fifty – The Delronda Hood Story, based on the real life of one of Detroit’s infamous “queenpins,” Delronda Hood, aka Big Fifty.
