Production on Bond 25 has witnessed another setback.

According to The Sun, fashion icon Grace Jones abruptly quit the film moments after arriving on the set when she discovered that the capacity of her appearance was a brief cameo and only a few lines.

“Grace’s 007 homecoming was meant to be a real crowd-pleasing moment. Bosses were really excited about landing her,” a source told the Sun. “But it turns out Grace was expecting to play a bigger role in the movie and took her brief cameo as a slight.” Shadow And Act has reached out to Jones’ team for comment on the report.

Jones previously starred as the villainous May Day in the 1985 James Bond film A View To Kill. She has also starred in other films, such as Vamp and Conan The Destroyer.

Bond 25 will see actor Daniel Craig reprising his role as Agent 007. It will also star Academy Award winner Rami Malek, Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris, Captain Marvel star Lashana Lynch and Jeffrey Wright. Harris and Wright will reprise their respective roles as Eve Moneypenny and Felix Leiter. The film, directed by Cary Fukunaga, is set to be released on April 3, 2020.
